Back to school (again)

So its back to that time again, where we are all going back to study in the final semester after that really long break.

So far the holidays have been great, although the only thing bout it most of us are enjoying it in Brunei along with some other group projects and personal commitments to be done.

So here goes to a much better semester

Thinking of you

Thinking of You by Shad Strong

When we’re apart you’re all I think of.
I long to see your eyes and smile.
Eyes that sparkles like precious gems.
A smile that lights up my heart with joy and love,
like the Light of the World shining down from Heaven.
I long to hold your hand.
Just a touch warms my soul on the coldest day.
I long to hold you in my arms.
Arms that give me such a sense of security
that nothing could ever take you from me.
I long to kiss your precious lips.
Lips as sweet as candy exploding with passion.

Forgive me if when we’re together
I can’t stop adoring your divine beauty.
Even though you don’t tell me you love me,
I know what love feels and looks like.
I see love glistening in your eyes.
I feel love in the warmth of you hands
and in the tremble of you kiss.
You may not be sure that you love me yet,
but I have no doubts that you do.

I often think I’m the luckiest man in the world,
but God constantly reminds me that is not so.
It is His blessing, not luck
for me to have an angel like you.

Tuesday's hyper

Today's as usual like any other day except for some things.

And a really great way to start off the day is knowing your marks for an exam. I was quite happy bout it coz its my 1st distinction ever since starting the final year (so far I only got one a test in the 1st year).

Next was just a 2-hour lecture to which surprisingly, I was able to actually understand what the lecturer was saying and not trying to fall asleep in the process.

Next lecture, well not really a lecture, just some Q&A session regarding the topic we are going to be using in our (yet another) exam next week.

Then noon came, class got replaced by something else, where everyone seemed a little hyper hehe.

random shot

Doing a random shot somewhere 2 weeks ago, looks like too close to the floor and the bottom part is a blur.

So yesterday, went to ITB to send in my assignment, and heard something from one of my classmate. Turns out there was a class that day, which i thought was unconfirmed. Wonder whose fault was that for not telling me?

My opinion on something

Everyone has something they would defend, no matter how stupid they may look while doing it, at least they are standing up for something they believe in.

When sweets kill

Heres an article i got through a forwarded email

Dear All,
Please read this and advise your friends and family! You may save others' lives!

Incident One:
A little boy died because surgeons found ants in his brain! Apparently this boy fell asleep with some sweets in his mouth or with some sweet stuff beside him.

Ants soon got to him and some ants in fact crawled into his ear which somehow managed to go to his brain. When he woke up, he did not realize that ants had gone to his head.

After that, he constantly complained about itchiness around his face. His mother brought him to a doctor, but the doctor could not figure out what was wrong with him. He took an X-ray of the boy and to his horror; he found a group of live ants in his skull. Since the ants were still alive, the doctor could not operate on him because the ants were constantly moving around. The boy finally died. So please be careful when leaving food stuff near your bed or when eating in bed. This might attract ants. Most importantly,

NEVER you or your child eat sweets before going to bed. You or your child might attract ants while you are asleep.

Incident Two:
Another similar incident happened in a hospital in Taiwan . This man was warded in the hospital and was constantly warned by the nurses not to leave food stuff by his bedside because there were ants about. He did not heed their advice. Ants finally got to him. His family members said that the man constantly complained about headaches. He died and a postmortem or autopsy was done on him. Doctors found a group of live ants in his head. Apparently, the ants had been eating bits of his brain. So friends, better be safe than sorry. Never leave food stuff beside your bed you when you go to sleep.

Please forward this to your friends and relatives.

Holidays

Hey everyone, hows it going? Nothing much going on here. Some of us in ITB are now havin a inter-semester break, with strings attached of course hehe. I've got bout 4 assignments to be done (actually more like 3 since 1 of them is a nearly finished group work) and probably arnd 2 more exams after skul starts

As for yesterday, me n my bro went to the mall coz they have yet another computer exhibtion going on(i wished they'd really stop with the exhibitions, its a real traffic disaster). Almost one hour of finding parking and still unsucessful in doin that.

Then later we went out wif Amir to Yayasan just for the sake of hanging out there since we got nothing to do. For dinner , we just went to Foodzone which is nice for a change since we always go for fast food restaurants whenever we had dinner.

So that was my day yesterday, n i hope all of you have better days ahead of you, filled with less immatureness

Really?

Meanwhile, I got nothing to blog so far these days (no mood or nothing interesting to blog) so i will just quote a post made by my fren Yusra

Location : Sri Patik Brasserie Restaurant
Charaters : 4 students from UBD
Time : 12 30 Pm

Ada satu kisah pasal empat orang bini2 dari UBD. Lawa-lawa muka durang tu rasa kan mengurat bah... tapi sayang perkataan inda lawa. Now seriously, what I don't like about them tadi pasal durang atu hina ITB. Cakap durang atupun inda jua berapa kedengaran, tapi ani tah masih ku ingat.

girl A : hahaha(panjang ketawanya atu, inda ku tau apa cerita durang sebelum atu)....kalau aku kena bagi sebulan $500 pun aku malas kan masuk itb.
girl B (yg paling cute) : iatah bah karang lepas hnd mengambil degree lagi tu. Buang masa jua tu.
girl A: siapa inda dapat masuk ubd, iatah kena buang ke itb tu. ITB tu tempat buangan bah macam buang sampah.
*all of them : ketawa....hahahaha*
girl B (cute ia ani eh) : but u all know kah itb masa ani offer degree kali tapi inda banyak.
girl C : Awu aku pun tau jua.

bla.......bla........bla.........bla

It is very sad when some people are still ignorant and masih anggap ITB ani tempat buangan. Di HYS dulu pun ada jua masih orang catu terutama sekali yang sudah dapat degree suka hina itb. Anyway, I know that all my friends in ITB are very useful and capable to develop Brunei. Mark my words that I believe some of them will become the Permenant secretary and even the minister. This is not a joke. Macam mana tah kan maju kalau Institusi di negeri sendiri pun kan dihina.

Wednesday n Thursday

Wednesday:

No classes in morning

In the noon, another lecture to which surprisingly also marks the day when our 1st assignment is also given out. And not a gud one either for me since its kind of a presentation

Thursday:

It was one of the 1st tutorials i had for this unit called ITF. Had a much better understanding this time probably due to a smaller class, although few of us didn get the photocopied handouts frm one of the classmates(if i found out this was deliberate or even a mistake i probably will smack the head of the girl who didn hand them out and yes I noe its most definitely a she)

End of the class, continued using my laptop after being annoyed by this attendance signing thing where when it was my turn this classmate decides to go take the paper to the back of the class for the rest of the back-seaters to sign(apakan, most of us went to front to sign it fair n square kali ah)

Lunch time , I was at my fren's place to have it, n since i dun have any classes later, i just chilled at his place while using his wireless connection :P hehe

Induction week

Its definitely great to be back in ITB after 6 months of attachment and almost a month of holiday breaks for most of us. Luckily no lectures for the 1st week, just an induction program.

1st day
Rainy day, as usual, everyone's had so much to talk to each other that u can probably hear almost everyone's conversation.

First came in our temporary group coordinator who explains some of the basic stuff to us, then later we were supposed to have the briefing with the HOD but he didn came in so it was free period for us.

In the afternoon, after lunch was a group activity in the concourse where everyone has been split up into 10 groups which were named after chocolates, my group was named "Hersheys". Basically it was like this "amazing race" thingy i had for my first year's orientation then we had to build a structure that protects the egg from a fall from the 2nd floor of ITB. I had lots of fun although it was kinda dissapointing/frustrating to earn the 9th place out of 10 positions.

2nd day

Nothing much on that day except for a couple more briefings by the lecturers who will be teaching us for this year

3rd day

Also pretty much the same as the day before

And now upcoming is that one last briefing on saturday(the only one actually on that day) then the real thing will start next week.

Meanwhile I was blog surfing n found this blog where the author says why so many ppl in his class failed was due to them talking when lecturer is busy giving a lecture, hence not paying attention. I think i might have to agree with that statement since that really applies right now the whole class in lectures n I really hope that they do really keep the noise down for most lectures and not just the ones in FA

Happy Chinese New Year

Here comes tat time of the year again, the chinese new year, so i wish all the chinese readers n friends a very happy chinese new year.

And I really hope my classmates dun go all "when ur having an open house?" when i get back to school. Last year, they kinda annoyed me with that question so i really hope they dun ask me that unless i'm havin it then i will them myself.

The flood these days is really affecting almost everywhere in Brunei, esp all those popular spots that youngsters n kids love to go to. Wish I could take pictures but my camera is not water proof so wudn wanna risk it, plus i do not know the correct settings n functions of the camera.

The 1st post of 2009

Can't believe its already 2009, and so fast too.

As for the 1st task of the year, its the date of submission for most ITB-ians reports on their SWE, which i heard had varying number of pages. Mine is not really thick though, since I need to exclude information is inappropriate to be disclosed to the public, which probably could double the pages of my report if I actually did include them. Some of us did have discussions on how to do these reports which I didn went to, due to some difficulties I'm having with the venues.

After that its probably waiting for the results of the reports then its the final year for most of us who made it. What probably lies ahead, I woudn't know, but its life so I gotta face it and ignore the obstacles (physical or mental whatever it is).

Since its 2009, maybe I should just bid farewell to 2008's version of me and now its probably the time for my change, while still retaining some bits of my old self. Maybe I probably won't be holding back my opinions now haha.
